Feeling Good As ....

Have you heard the recent Lizzo song “Feeling Good as Hell”? It’s got a catchy beat and starts off by saying,:

“I do my hair tall, check my nails - Baby how you feeling - feeling good as hell”

The song has been stuck in my head lately partly because it’s got a good beat but also because who doesn’t feel great when you have it going on?

Today I wore a new pair of leggings and I have to admit - I was excited to take them for their first workout. There is just something about breaking in a new piece of apparel that motivates me. I felt good in these leggings and ready to move.

Some times a new top, pants, leggings or even Pilates socks are the nudge and motivation you need to get your Pilates groove on!

The second reason I like this song I realized is that when I am taking care of myself and feeling good in my skin - I’m feeling good as hell! I wear my clothes better and I wear my confidence better. I want to move and celebrate my body and it’s capabilities. Remembering this feeling is motivation to keep at it on days when I’m tired, busy or just lacking motivation. No one ever regrets the workouts they do - just the ones they don’t do!

So whether you need to motivate with a new piece of clothing or if how you feel in your own skin works - I hope you are feeling good as hell in Pilates like I do!
