Get Busy!

I was talking with a few ladies in the studio today and the topic came up of motivation. The ladies both mentioned with all the closings and limited activities they found themselves lacking the motivation to do the things they wanted to do and could do like Pilates. I in contrast have been quite busy with Health & Nutrition Training at IIN, Teacher Training at the Studio, and teaching lots of Pilates. As a result, I have found myself more productive!

Tips on Staying Motivated

We have all hit that point where we think giving up would be easiest, but I am here to tell you that there are plenty of ways to keep yourself motivated when it comes to working out. Canceled!

Canceled! That’s a word we are seeing a lot these days. Keeneland - canceled. Kentucky Derby - canceled. the Chris Stapelton and Willie Nelson Concert - canceled. This morning I received an email informing me the Lululemon Sea Wheeze half marathon in August is canceled! I’m writing this blog on April 29th … three and a half months before the date of the race. This is becoming our new norm.

Too Much Time Too Little Motivation

For the first two weeks of this quarantine - I got after it. I cleaned, I ran, I did Pilates, I filmed videos, I organized, I cooked, I read, I did my own nails… I was making the most of it. And then it hit me around the end of March … I had at least another month to go. Ugh. That realization hit me like a ton of bricks and took my motivation with it. What in the world was I supposed to do for a whole month or more?

Feeling Good As ....

Have you heard the recent Lizzo song “Feeling Good as Hell”? It’s got a catchy beat and starts off by saying,:
