Essential Work

Lately, there is much talk about essential business and non-essential business. Depending on your Governor, the answers may vary! I’m here to make the case that Pilates is ESSENTIAL Business. Allow me to explain.

This week I saw three clients in particular whose lives have been changed by Pilates.

'Tis the Giving Season!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Whatever it is you celebrate, the season of giving is fast approaching and, after the year it’s been, I think it’s needed now more than ever! Sure, it’s not all about presents & it’s important to appreciate being able to simply spend time with the ones you love, but who doesn’t love surprising a loved one with a new gift they’ve been desperately wanting/needing?! First Time's a Charm!

Coming into college, I hadn’t made my fitness a priority since I played grade school sports. Sure, I took PE in high school and went on runs (they usually turned into walks), but I never had a real workout regime that I followed. Since I’ve been more independent in Lexington, I’ve made a bigger effort to improve my fitness and overall strength. A Month of New!

It’s a weird time and it can feel a bit monotonous. Vacations aren’t happening as much, events are canceled and there isn’t much to look forward, too. I needed some inspiration. I needed some new. I needed something to look forward to this Summer. I decided to take the month of July and challenge myself to do something new every day! It’s been a lot of fun going to new places, trying new things, and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I just may continue this into August because I’ve enjoyed it so much.

For a Reason!

Through my Pilates studies and training, I have had the opportunity to meet and work with many wonderful teachers and mentors. About six years ago I began following one particular Instructor and really gravitated to his approach to Pilates. I did an online workshop he offered. He came across as kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate. His style and mine when it came to designing a class were in sync.
