'Tis the Giving Season!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Whatever it is you celebrate, the season of giving is fast approaching and, after the year it’s been, I think it’s needed now more than ever! Sure, it’s not all about presents & it’s important to appreciate being able to simply spend time with the ones you love, but who doesn’t love surprising a loved one with a new gift they’ve been desperately wanting/needing?! And, if you’re not sure what to get your fitness junkie, we’ve got you covered!

Impact!

A few days ago I saw a post from a friend and former Pilates student in Nashville that she had graduated from Pilates Teacher Training! This made me so happy and I was really excited for her! I was her first Pilates teacher and I take a little pride in the fact she fell in love with Pilates under my guidance. I am sure she could have begun with someone else and maybe the result would be the same but … it feels really good to know you made an impact on someone else. It feels really good to see you shared what you love with someone else and they fell in love with it, too!

Consistency Really is Key!

One of the most common questions I am asked by new students at Shine Pilates is “How often should I workout?” While there is no one simple answer to this you do need to consistent. He came across as kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate. His style and mine when it came to designing a class were in sync.

I distinctly remember in second grade telling me teacher I had been to visit my grandfather. Many of the other students in class had also visited grandparents over the Summer so to me this was nothing special

Is it Really a Bargain?

A bargain isn’t always a bargain. Sure the price may be great! It may be a real discount on what appears to be a similar item or service but beware that does not mean it’s the same thing.

I was raised by two frugal parents. It’s in my DNA but I’ve learned through the years some times it is so worth it to pay a little more. A good deal is not always a good deal and often not even really what I want, expect, or need.

Shine Pilates is TWO

Last week Shine Pilates turned TWO! I can hardly believe it! On many levels the time has flown by. It seems like just yesterday I was signing a lease, crossing my fingers, and hoping for the best! I’m happy to report we’ve had a wonderful two years. Lots of friendship have been made, bodies have been strengthened, back pain alleviated, and so much more! I am beyond grateful to my Lexington Pilates family!
