Here we are the second week of January and I bet some have already struggled with New Year’s Resolutions. Maybe you started and then stopped. Maybe you never started? Regardless of what your circumstances are - all is not lost! Let’s reset and set smaller goals!
Read MoreDo you pee a little when you work out? What about the trampoline or doing jumping jacks - have those become off limits for you for fear of tinkling? Well there is a myth out there that after you have a baby or as you age - that’s just how it is. Nope! Doesn’t have to be that way!
Let’s discuss!
Read MoreI have heard more times than I can count the comment, “but I don’t look like a Pilates student.” This usually comes from someone considering whether to try Pilates or not. It comes from someone with limited knowledge of the benefits of Pilates. It certainly comes from someone who doesn’t know what a Pilates student looks like.
Read MoreThere is an age old fitness question that I thought I’d touch on today!
Should you do the same workout religiously, constantly perfecting and growing in strength or is it better to challenge the body with different exercises?

Read MoreBetween Christmas and New Years, I had the opportunity to do online training, continuing education, and to catch up on reading articles/watching videos about Pilates I had been saving for some time. I spent time learning more about influential people in the Pilates industry like Mari Winsor and Rael Isacowitz. Having been an athlete in college and a spinning instructor for almost a decade at that point - I assumed everyone was there simply to teach fitness. Boy was I wrong!
Read MoreA couple questions usually come up with new PIlates students or those considering Pilates:
How many calories will I burn in a Pilates session?
I need to build my strength, is Pilates enough for that?
These are excellent questions and worth exploring!
Read MoreLast fall, I created a created a serious of videos called 'Television Arms'. That may not sound like a good thing but actually, it is! This is my simple, do while watching TV, arm series that will take you no more than about 10 minutes. In the videos, I don't do as many repetitions as you can do ... Instagram limits videos to 1 minute.
