Thankful
Thanksgiving was last week and I have so much to be thankful for! I moved to Arizona about 8 months ago and the time has really flown by! It dawned on me that I was in Arizona last Thanksiving for a solo trip and get away … when I decide it was time to get serious about moving here. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine one year later I would be an Arizona resident and business owner.
It’s been a whirlwind and one I am grateful for. These past eight months I have made friendships, meet so many Pilates students and have been a part of their Pilates progress. I have been rewarded time and time again seeing the success of my students. I have been inspired seeing my seniors putting in so much the effort, energy and doing amazing things! Age really is just a number and my Arizona clients prove that everyday.
I’m a card caring member of the Arizona state parks and rarely a week goes by that I don’t get out hiking or trailing running at least once. I’m also taking tennis lessons … something my schedule never afforded before.
I can’t say enough about the sun and Arizona weather. I feel so lucky to live here and get my daily Vitamin D.
I am grateful for the ups and downs life has brought me and connections and friendships. One thing moving does is either bond friendships or break friendships. I’m so happy with the bonds that have grown stronger because we are both willing to make the effort. And I’m okay with those that will be what they will be … maybe they served a shorter purpose. I have run into a few unsavory characters in Arizona … dishonest people are everywhere unfortunately. I’ve been humbled and touched by how my new friends have supported me during a few trying times of late. It’s reaffirmed I am in the right place with the right people and a few shady characters can’t change that.
This Thanksgiving I spent my morning hiking Camelback and then had dinner with new friends. It was a perfect way to spend the day.
I hope this Thanksgiving you, too, found lots to be grateful for as well!
